Local Loaves for Lammas

Add your event details today! Not that anyone needs an excuse, but Lammas is a perfect opportunity to eat and celebrate locally produced Real Bread. Taking its name from hlafmaesse, the Old English for loaf mass, Lammas is an ancient harvest festival. A traditional highlight was eating bread baked using flour milled from the first grain of the year. In 2009 and 2010, bakers, millers and markets round the country joined in the fun with events and activities around the local loaf theme. This year, why not join them? For inspiration, visit the Local Loaves for Lammas page and then add the details here on our events calendar.
